Booking and check-in
How do I book a pitch?
We offer three ways to book a pitch:
1. Online with camp24checkin, our booking partner. Please note that you will be redirected to our external booking site to complete your booking.
2. If you have not booked online, you register at the booking terminal on site at the entrance; see the next question.
3. Booking by pitch enquiry by e-mail to info@campingplatz-geiselwind.com.
Book at camp24checkinCan I come without booking in advance?
Yes. Alternatively, you can also register directly on site at our booking terminal. The terminal stands at the entrance, next to the kiosk. You can arrive around the clock, 365 days a year. If there is any trouble with the booking at the terminal, give us a call: +49 160 98306773.
How does check-in at the terminal work?
If you have not booked online, please register at the booking terminal in the entrance area. Registration runs via the touchscreen; the machine offers check-in, check-out, access to your reservation, and site and tourist information. The entrance and the exit are separate and equipped with barriers; a waiting area is marked out.

On the day of departure, before you leave, you pay by card at the booking terminal. Only after paying do you drive up to the exit barrier; on the day of departure it opens only after payment. Check-out is by 11:00.

Pitches and tents
Which pitch sizes are there and what do they cost?
Four pitch sizes S to XXL, plus the tent meadow. From our price list:
Prices are per night and include statutory VAT. Electricity and fresh water are billed by consumption.
By vehicle length: S up to 6 metres, M up to 8 metres, XL up to 10 metres, XXL up to 12 metres. Pitches 45-48 are well suited to particularly long vehicles and very large outfits.
Children are included in the pitch price. If you are unsure which size fits your vehicle, call us: +49 160 98306773.
Prices and site planCan I come with a caravan?
Yes. The pitches are laid out for caravans, motorhomes, camper vans and vehicles with roof tents. Please take the total length of your outfit into account when choosing a pitch; the sizes by vehicle length and the pitches 45-48 for very long outfits are in the previous question.
Large vehicles and outfitsAre campervans and roof tents welcome?
Yes. The site is laid out like a park, and the pitches are intended for caravans, motorhomes, camper vans and vehicles with roof tents. Every pitch has an electricity connection. For the sizes S to XXL by vehicle length and pitch dimensions, see the question on pitch sizes above.
Can I come with a tent?
Yes. Tents go on the tent meadow, a separate area away from the vehicle pitches. Please note that the tent meadow is not equipped with its own electricity connection. Contact us if you need electricity, or book a conventional pitch instead.
Where is the tent meadow?
On a single, contiguous area marked with the tent symbol on the site plan. The tent meadow lies away from the vehicle pitches.

Electricity, water, sanitary, shopping
Does every pitch have electricity, and what does it cost?
Yes. Every pitch has its own electricity connection, fused at 16 A. You need a CEE plug. Billing is by actual consumption: €0.90 per kWh. As soon as you have entered the site, the electricity connection on your pitch is activated.
Supply and disposalWhere do I get fresh water, and where do I empty grey and black water?
There are several drinking water stations distributed across the site. You get the drinking water by activating the station with a QR code; fresh water is billed at €0.10 per 10 litres. Below the sanitary building there is a large disposal station for grey and black water and for chemical toilets. Disposal is free of charge.
What are the sanitary facilities like?
The sanitary building is a new build in the middle of the site: level-access showers with rain heads, wall-hung WCs, individual and double washbasins with mirrors, a baby changing table, and a washroom for people with disabilities.

How can I pay?
By debit and credit card; both the booking terminal and the kiosk accept them. You pay the overnight charges on the day of departure at the booking terminal in the entrance area.
How departure worksIs there a washing machine and a dryer?
Yes. There is a washing machine and a dryer. The washing machine and the dryer cost €4.50 each.
Can I shop on site? Are there bread rolls in the morning?
Yes. The kiosk in the entrance area is open 24/7 and stocks everyday basics; you enter with your QR card. In the morning there is a bread roll service from the local bakery, limited on Sundays and public holidays; please see the notices in the kiosk. You collect pre-ordered rolls at the kiosk.

Dogs, children, barbecue
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, and they are free of charge. Dogs have their own dog run at the north-western end of the site. It is currently not fenced, fenced from spring 2027; until then, please keep an eye on your dog there. Dogs must be kept on a lead on the campsite grounds. For long walks with your dog, the forest adjoining the campsite is right there. And there is a dog shower, also free of charge.
With a dog on siteIs there a playground for children?
Not yet. A children's playground next to the kiosk and the entrance is under construction and expected to open in October 2026. As soon as it is ready to play on, we will say so here. Already there for families: the baby changing table in the sanitary building and the tent meadow as a separate area.
For children on siteAm I allowed to barbecue?
Yes, at the communal barbecue area with a fire bowl. It is on the access road to the middle of the site. In periods of pronounced drought, open fires are prohibited. The barbecue area does not need booking; a grill grate can be hired at the kiosk. You may also barbecue on your own pitch, observing fire safety and without smoking out your neighbours.

How far is it to the Freizeit-Land Geiselwind amusement park?
The Freizeit-Land Geiselwind is on the same street as our site (Wiesentheider Str. 25; we are at no. 24), very close by and an easy walk.

What is there in the area apart from the amusement park?
Geiselwind lies on the edge of the Steigerwald nature park and at the Drei-Franken-Eck, the region where Lower, Middle and Upper Franconia meet. The TraumRunde Geiselwind, a circular walking trail of about 7 to 8 km, starts in the village. The Steigerwald treetop walkway in Ebrach and the Franconian wine region around Iphofen are day trips. How far are Würzburg, Bamberg and Nuremberg?
Geiselwind lies roughly between Würzburg and Bamberg. By car: Würzburg about 40 km and 25 minutes, Bamberg about 40 km and 40 minutes, Nuremberg about 65 km and 45 minutes. The figures are rounded and calculated from the centre of Geiselwind, not from the site address. By rail: Würzburg ICE station 40 km; by air: Nuremberg Airport 65 km.

Fuel is available at the Autohof Strohofer at exit 76; its filling stations are open around the clock, LNG included.

The Autohof Strohofer truck stop at exit 76 states that it has a Mercedes-Benz service workshop, Shell and Total filling stations open around the clock, a hotel and an ecumenical motorway chapel.

We are coming for the Trucker and Country Festival. When is it?
The Trucker and Country Festival takes place on the Whitsun weekend. Because the event centre runs its own camping areas on the site, it is worth booking with us early on festival weekends.

About the site
Who is this site for?
For motorhomes, caravans, camper vans, roof tents and tents, for one night in transit as much as for a weekend or a family holiday. In the operator's own words, the site combines the advantages of a motorhome and caravan pitch with the amenities of a campsite. In practice: you drive onto your pitch as you would at a motorhome stopover, with electricity right there, and you stay as you would on a campsite, with a sanitary building, a kiosk and a tent meadow.
The site looks brand new. What is its story?
This was the site of a former campsite that had been out of operation for a long time. Since spring 2025 the grounds have been rebuilt: paved pitches, a new sanitary building, a kiosk, a barrier system and a check-in terminal. The photos on this website show the site in its first spring.
